**Heartbeat at the Dippemess**

As soon as the days get longer and the first warm rays of sunshine hit the city, a very special time begins: the Dippemess spring fair opens its doors again, heralding the start of the festival season.

For three weeks, the fairground on Ratsweg pulsates with countless lights and delights visitors with its unique festive atmosphere. The Dippemess is more than just a folk festival – it is a living tradition, a meeting place for generations and a place where spring is celebrated with all the senses.

Whether it's fast-paced rides, classic carousels or spectacular attractions with guaranteed thrills – there's something here to make everyone's heart beat faster. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can enjoy a relaxing ride on the Ferris wheel and the view over springtime Frankfurt. Of course, culinary delights are also a must: from sweet temptations such as candyfloss and crêpes to savoury specialities, the Dippemess offers culinary highlights for every taste.

The special atmosphere, the cheerful hustle and bustle and the shared joy make this festival a real spring highlight. Now is the perfect opportunity to leave everyday life behind, meet friends and family and make unforgettable memories.

Knirpse-Kirmes

Small prizes for little ones at the Dippemess fair

Ein blau-weißes Maskottchen auf dem Frankfurter Volksfest begrüßt Besucher.

Every Tuesday, the Dippemess invites children aged 12 and under to the ‘Knirpse-Kirmes’ from 3 pm to 8 pm. During the promotional period, visitors can look forward to special offers at all the rides and stalls.

Face painting is also available in front of the Ferris wheel – with shelter provided in case of rain. The Dippemess mascot Bembli will also be at the Knirpse-Kirmes – though only in dry weather, as he’s a bit shy of the rain.

**Cuddle alert at the Knirpse-Kirmes!**
On one Tuesday during the Dippemess, mascot Bembli is also inviting lots of cuddly friends to the Knirpse-Kirmes!

Joining in are fluffy mascots such as Eintracht eagle Attila and penguin Kufi. Come along, get high fives, hugs and photos, and enjoy an unforgettable afternoon.

 

Flying high instead of job-hunting stress

Trainee speed dating
on the Ferris wheel

Take your training to new heights ***on 24 September 2026*** at the “Trainee speed dating in the Ferris Wheel” at the Frankfurt Dippemess.

Come along to the Ferris wheel at the Dippemess on the fairground at Ratsweg ***at 3 pm***: Hop on, meet your – perhaps – future employer, and then celebrate at the Dippemess.

The event is organised by the City of Frankfurt’s Economic Development Agency in cooperation with Tourismus- und Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main and the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Showmen’s Association.

Frequently asked questions about the Spring Dippemess

- When will the Spring Dippemess take place in 2027?The Spring Dippemess 2027 will take place from 19th March to 11th April 2027.
- Is there a children’s or family day?We have a fantastic programme for children up to the age of 12: the Little Ones’ Funfair (Knirpse-Kirmes). Every Tuesday between 3 pm and 8 pm, there are great deals on all the rides and stalls.
- What is the "Child Finder" (Kinder-Finder) and how is it used?With the Kinder-Finder (Child Finder), you can relax and enjoy your visit to Frankfurt's folk festivals. This free service from the Frankfurt Showmen's Association is aimed particularly at families with small children and provides added security at the festival grounds.
    
    The Kinder-Finder is a wristband on which you enter your mobile phone number. If you lose sight of your child in the hustle and bustle, other visitors or the police can quickly reach you by phone. This makes it easy for you to find each other again.
    
    The wristband is available free of charge at all children's rides. Simply pick one up, write down your number and enjoy the hustle and bustle with peace of mind.
- Will there be a closing fireworks display?No. Due to the newly built swimming pool at the fairground on Ratsweg, fireworks can no longer take place.
- Can I pay by card at the Dippemess?Yes, at the Dippemess, you can pay by card at more than half of the stalls. Please note that the option to pay by card depends on the individual stallholder. Some rides also have ticket machines where card payments are accepted. For those who prefer to pay in cash, there are cash machines available on the fairground.
- Why is there a requirement to use reusable containers at the Dippemess?
    
    Because sustainability is important to us! 
    
    At the Dippemess, the motto is: 
    **Reusable makes all the difference.**
    
    That’s why food and drinks are automatically served 
    in eco-friendly reusable containers. 
    A deposit of at least 2 euros is charged for the reusable packaging.
    
    Disposable packaging may only be used if you expressly wish
    to consume your food or drink outside the Dippemess.
- Is there any information to note?Please note the following information prior to visiting the Dippemess folk fair:
    
    
    - Security checks including spot searches are carried out randomly.
    - The following items below are not permitted on the fairground:
        - Bicycles and E-Scooter
        - Dogs and other pets
        - Spirits and mixed spirits drinks brought onto the premises
        - Weapons and knives of any kind (incl. pocket knives etc.)
        - Apparent weapons
        - Sharp tools and other dangerous objects
        - Animal defence spray
        - Pyrotechnics
        - Drugs
        - Cannabis
        - Laughing gas
- May I visit the Spring Dippemess with my dog?No. Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the event premises.
- Is it possible to arrive by car?We recommend travelling to the fairgrounds via public transport. Please note that there is no car parking available at the fairground. Handicapped parking spaces are located on Ostendstraße in limited numbers.
- Is the Dippemess barrier-free and are there disabled parking spaces?The following accessible toilet facilities can be found on the Frankfurt Dippemess fairground: centrally located on the fairground , as well as .
    
    There are a limited number of parking spaces for people with disabilities on the corner of Ostparkstraße and Ratsweg.
- How do you get to the Dippemess in spring by public transport?The "Eissporthalle/Festplatz" stop is right next to the fairground. **Underground Line U7, Tram Line 12 and Bus Lines 38 and 103** stop next to the Ferris wheel and rollercoaster. These services run until after midnight and thus also ensure a good journey home. The U7 line also offers more space almost all the time thanks to additional carriages.
