The German-Icelandic saxophonist, clarinettist and composer Stefan Karl Schmid, affectionately known as "SKS" by FÄZZ, has already achieved a great deal in his young years. He appears time and again in Germany's radio big bands, tours the world with various formations and is a professor of jazz saxophone and ensemble in Mannheim.
At FÄZZ on Friday 7.0, the Frankfurt Jazz Collective presents itself as a big band. After a successful band book debut at FÄZZ am Freitag 4.0 at the end of last year, the musicians will be devoting themselves exclusively to the compositions and arrangements of Stefan Karl Schmid and his very own world of sound.
