What is true for Frankfurt as a whole is also evident in the music scene: diversity and a coexistence of many traditions and styles. The Alte Oper now offers this diversity a stage every year, together with the Office for Multicultural Affairs. The band Prosechòs will kick things off. Founded 40 years ago in Bockenheim, it has dedicated itself to bluesy Rembetiko, with origins in the melancholy laments of Greek refugees of the 1920s. The old stage hands are followed by the musical "069 Soundworlds", staged by young people in the social project Klangwelten and musically accompanied by the fusion band ZakShotLeFunk. The Senegalese-Madagascan band Mijoa will create completely different sounds, namely world music with jazz improvisations and percussion. Look forward to a concert evening where everyone can dance and sing along!
