Magical opening of the European Championships in Frankfurt:

Light show at Flößerbrücke!

On 12th June at 10:30 pm, the Flößerbrücke bridge was transformed into a gigantic, glowing work of art. As part of the European Football Championships 2024, we invited guests to a spectacular light and music show that wrapped the bridge in an oversized jersey.

Following the motto "United by Football. United in the heart of Europe", Atelier Markgraph presented a breathtaking show that captured the colours and emotions of the tournament. The lighting production reacted like a giant visualiser to the specially composed music and extended into the night sky.

An absolute highlight was the soundtrack, which created a symphony of football O-sounds and the anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone".

Many were there when the City of Frankfurt celebrated the EUROs with this unique production! The view could be enjoyed from  Weseler Werft or the opposite Sachsenhausen side of the River Main. For all those who could not be there live, there is a recording available from Hessischer Rundfunk.

  • Date: 12 June 2024

  • Time: 10.30 pm

  • Location: Flößerbrücke, Frankfurt am Main

  • Admission: Free of charge

With the kind support of

Mainova

Mainova is bringing a technical sensation to the Fan Zone with the RoboKeeper, the fastest goalkeeper in the world.

The RoboKeeper impresses with its speed and precision and saves almost every shot. This technology at the highest level provides amazement and sporting challenges.

In addition, Mainova is making a valuable contribution to health protection by offering free drinking water at a drinking-water bar and a drinking-water fountain. This small but kind gesture supports hydration and the well-being of visitors.

hr3

The regional radion station, hr3, provides a lively atmosphere with its DJ programme and presentations and really gets the fans going before the games.

A special highlight is the video box, which works on the principle of a photo box. Visitors may record short videos to capture special moments.

This combination of music, entertainment and interactivity makes a visit to the Fan Zone even more attractive.

FES

FES (Frankfurter Entsorgungs- und Service GmbH) plays a central role in environmental protection and waste management at the Fan Zone.

With demonstrations on waste separation and the FES "Waste Hunt" app, visitors learn to collect and separate waste in a fun way. “Cleanliness ambassadors” provide on-site information about littering, waste prevention, urban cleanliness and reusable waste while also offering waste advice.

These measures help to promote the cleanliness and sustainability of the Fan Zone.
