Macarena Ramírez from Chiclana de la Frontera in the province of Cádiz is a renowned flamenco dancer and choreographer. After training at the conservatory in Cádiz, she graduated with a degree in Spanish dance and visual arts from the University of Madrid and obtained a master's degree in flamenco from the University of Seville.
At the age of twelve, she played the famous singer, dancer, and actress Lola Flores as a young girl in the film “Lola, la película” and joined the renowned Compañía de Antonio “El Pipa” in the same year. She has worked with famous flamenco artists such as Sara Baras, María Pages, and Eduardo Guerrero.
At Spanien am Main, she will perform with singer Anabel Rivera, guitarist Javier Ibáñez, and Carlos Merino on percussion. Flamenco was declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2010.
