From Friday, August 29 to Sunday, September 21, 2025, the exhibition "Stoffgeschichten - Über global bewegte Materialien" will open its doors at Villa Metzler (next to the Museum Angewandte Kunst). What is actually behind cotton, leather, wool, polyester & co. How are these materials created, what traces do they leave behind and what sustainable alternatives are there? The exhibition takes you on an exciting journey around the world of textiles - from classic fabrics to materials of the future. The exhibition was created in collaboration with the Akademie Mode&Design (AMD) in Munich and has already visited various locations in Germany as a traveling exhibition. It aims to do one thing above all else: encourage people to think and motivate them to experience fashion more consciously.
This workshop invites you to look at fashion and "fast fashion" from a new perspective and become active - for more sustainability in everyday life! You are welcome to bring your own items of clothing. A workshop organized by ENGAGEMENT GLOBAL gGmbH. The workshop will take place at Villa Metzler.
