Soulfood Dance Night - DJ Sportwagen & DJ Akim B. with Jo Jacobs

Soulfood Dance Night is Frankfurt's most popular funk, soul, and disco party. Since 2010, resident DJs Mr. Brown and Sportwagen have been treating fans of soul, funk, disco, and old-school hip hop to their sounds. The original home base, the English Theatre Frankfurt, is currently being renovated, and the party series has since been traveling to different locations. The wonderful premises of the ROMANFABRIK are once again being transformed into the grooviest dance floor in Frankfurt.

 

Musically, you can expect the typical Soulfood mix with songs and remixes from the entire soul spectrum of the last 60 years, from rhythm & blues to soulful house and everything in between. The mix is a little different every month, but a great dance vibe is always guaranteed.

In December, DJ Sportwagen and special guest DJ Akim B. will be at the decks. Akim B.'s sound is a mélange of funk, soul, and house—a soul trip through time that always gets your feet moving! We are also particularly excited to welcome multimedia artist Jo Jacobs. He will be back at Soulfood with his video projections. Jo will be performing live at the ROMANFABRIK with individual projections, creating a whole new atmosphere. Lights on, stage clear.
