The collage Struwwelpeter. Works on paper by Heiner Meermeyer

The exhibition presents art collages by Heiner Meermeyer. Using a scalpel, scissors and glue, the artist transfers figures from Hoffmann's picture books onto backgrounds from art magazines. This creates surprising new contexts. Originals by Heinrich Hoffmann, who himself experimented with glued pictures in the 19th century, are also on display.
