The Museum of Communication in Frankfurt takes its visitors on a journey into the world of communication. In the permanent exhibition “Media History(ies) Retold,” experience the diverse evolution of communication —send messages with the pointer telegraph, experience a “talking painting” featuring the portrait of computer scientist Alan Turing, and hear 20 visionaries share fascinating insights on artificial intelligence.
Currently, the museum is presenting “News – NEWS,” the first comprehensive exhibition on news in Germany, as well as “Samizdat: Words of Liberation,” an exhibition on underground literature in Czechoslovakia as part of the cultural program honoring the Czech Republic as Guest of Honor at the 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair.
The collective from Mainz improvises around the exhibition's theme of "News"—inspired by the audience and staged spontaneously.
