The Museumsuferfest takes place on the northern and southern banks of the Main.

Yes, the musical fireworks display will take place on Sunday, 30 August 2026, at 10:00 pm between the “Holbeinsteg” and “Untermainbrücke” bridges.

Yes, the dragon-boat race will be held again on the River Main.

We know that many visitors would like to take their dogs with them. However, we would like to point out that the festival site, with its large crowds and loud background noise, may be very stressful and unpleasant for dogs. In the interest of your four-legged friend's well-being, we strongly recommend that you leave them at home where they may enjoy the more pleasant option of resting and relaxing. That way, you may enjoy the party to the full without putting your dog through what is surely an uncomfortable and stressful experience.

No, smoking cannabis is not permitted at the Museum Embankment Festival.

The Museumsuferfest is designed to be accessible. We are very committed to enabling as many people as possible to access the event. However, due to its location in the city center, some limitations – such as cobblestones or curbs – cannot be completely avoided.All restroom locations are equipped with accessible toilet containers.

We strongly recommend travelling by public transport.

The locations of the Museum Embankment Festival are centrally situated in Frankfurt and are easily accessible by bus, tram and subway.
On the weekend of the event, many individual lines run longer and more frequently from the evening onwards, as well as with larger vehicles, so that you are able to reach the Museum Embankment Festival both quickly and easily.

For stress-free planning of your journeys to the festival and back, please use the online public transport information at www.rmv.de. Construction sites and special timetables for the event are taken into account.

Coming from the Main Train Station, take tram lines 10/11/12/14 to reach the most important stops on the northern bank of the River Main (Untermainkai):

• Weser-/Münchener Str.
• Willy-Brandt-Platz
• Römer/Paulskirche

By changing at Willy-Brandt-Platz station to the U1/U2/U3/U8 subway lines, you will reach Schweizer Platz (southern bank of the River Main).

Coming from Südbahnhof, take tram lines 15/16 to reach the most important stops on the southern bank of the River Main (Schaumainkai):

• Stresemannallee/Gartenstr.
• Schweizer-/Gartenstr.
• Otto-Hahn-Platz

or use the U1/U2/U3/U8 subway lines to “Willy-Brandt-Platz” station to reach the northern bank of the River Main (Untermainkai).

All no-parking zones are rescue routes and must be kept clear.
Parked vehicles will be towed away at the owners' expense!

Disabled parking spaces are available at the following locations:

• Schaumainkai / Stresemannallee; entrance from Stresemannallee
• Mainkai between Mainkai Café and the Historical Museum Frankfurt; access from the east
• A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available in the area of Schaumainkai, at Schaubstraße, and Mainkai, at Zum Pfarrturm.

We recommend travelling by public transport.

It is not possible to park e-scooters directly on the festival grounds.

However, parking areas for bicycles and e-scooters are available, for example at the Bike Area (on the south bank near Hohlbeinsteg) or in front of the Historical Museum. Riding bicycles, e-scooters, skateboards, Segways and similar vehicles on the festival grounds is not permitted.
