Tourist Information Office Römer
The Römer Tourist Information Office is located directly on the historic Römerberg in the Old Town of Frankfurt am Main. This is the ideal starting point for your stay. Many sights such as the Imperial Cathedral or the New Old Town are within easy walking distance.
We can provide you with personal advice on city tours, museums, events and excursions in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region. You can buy tickets for tours and events directly on site. You will also find city maps, brochures and inspiration for planning your trip. Our multilingual staff will be happy to advise you and answer any questions you may have about your stay or local public transport.
The adjoining store sells selected souvenirs and gift ideas related to Frankfurt. The Römer Tourist Information is well connected to public transport. The "Dom/Römer" stop is just a few steps away.
The Tourist Information is located in the so-called Salzhaus. The original Renaissance building on Römerberg was destroyed in the Second World War and later rebuilt in a modern form. The large mosaic with the phoenix on the façade is a reminder of the city's reconstruction - the bird is a symbol of Frankfurt, which rose from the ashes like a phoenix after the destruction.
