Frau Grau

Who is she, this Frau Grau, after whom Höchst's most cozy café was named? An old lady who spent her entire life in this Frankfurt district - and coincidentally the previous tenant of the café's founder. Mrs. Grau not only gave the café its name, but also the cosy upholstered furniture and the old-fashioned crockery, which today provide an extra dose of cosiness here. The small café on the edge of Höchst's old town with its charming half-timbered houses is a favourite meeting place for the people of Höchst, even under the current owner.
The menu offers really good coffee and a small, seasonal selection of soups, salads, homemade cakes and breakfasts, including vegetarian options. And you can sit comfortably on Frau Grau's upholstered furniture: In summer, there are also very cozy spots in the courtyard!
