Neighbourhood meeting place, casual open-air bar, cult location: young and old meet at the Wasserhäuschen for a chat or a good cup of coffee.

Drinking hall, kiosk - there are many names, but the people of Frankfurt prefer to call these iconic little buildings, which are an integral part of the cityscape, "Wasserhäuschen". In the second half of the 19th century, when the drinking water in the metropolis on the River Main was only drinkable when boiled, they were built as mineral water vendors, but have expanded and changed their range over time.
The Nox water house, a colourful example located on the green strip of Holbeinstraße in the heart of Sachsenhausen, offers not only water, but also soft drinks, beer and wines, but the coffee, which is specially made for the mini café by a small Frankfurt roasting house, is particularly delicious. There are also sweets and ice cream. The owners now also run other branches under the name Nox, all named after the family dog Lenox.
