In this store in Sachsenhausen, you can buy special apple wines - selected by Jens Becker himself, a pioneer of the Ebbelwei scene. 

An old pharmacy in Sachsenhausen is now a mecca for apple wine lovers: 130 different apple wines from 30 wineries can be found on the shelves here - mainly from Hesse, but also from other regions of Germany and Europe. These include fine apple sparkling wines made using the champagne method, as well as Jens Becker's relaxed Hausschoppen made from Hessian apples. This is always available for regular customers to try in a traditional earthenware bembel.
Jens Becker was a successful advertising salesman before he started making apple wine himself and opening a store for apple wines from small producers. This makes him one of the pioneers who helped drive the cider renaissance.
