Donated to the City of Frankfurt in 1509 by the Frankfurt merchant and patron of the arts, Jakob Heller. The original sculpture is on show in the Frankfurt Cathedral. A copy of the sculpture, made in 1919, is on display on the outer east side of the cathedral.
