Idyllically situated on the banks of the Lahn, you can discover the history of the origin of Lahn marble here. Due to its colors and patterns, it was in demand all over the world.
You are cordially invited to get to know the museum, the beautiful stone "Lahn Marble" and its history. The Lahn Marble Museum consists of
- the museum building with a very illustrative permanent exhibition and changing special exhibitions
- the national geotope "Unica-Bruch" with its unique insight into a real Middle Devonian reef. The path from the museum to this site leads along a 380-metre-long "Earth History Trail"
- the Lahn Marble Trail - a beautiful path in 2 laps through the village and the Villmar districts
- the Lahn Marble Route - a very varied cycle path along the Lahn through the region of the former more than 100 marble quarries from Wetzlar to Baldiunstein.
