Time travel via virtual reality: with VR glasses, you can choose to take a carriage ride to the year 1891 or to the beginnings of democracy in St. Paul's Church.
The opposite of boring history lessons: the provider TimeRide specializes in offering virtual time travel. On the "TimeRide Senseum" tour, you stay indoors and are beamed back to the year 1891; the tour lasts around 40 minutes. You first walk through a reconstructed grocery store and the study of a middle-class family of the time and then take a seat in a carriage. With your virtual reality glasses, you ride alongside a Frankfurt merchant through the streets of the late 19th century.
On "TimeRide Go!", tour guides take you on a 45-minute tour of modern-day Frankfurt, immersing you in around 2,000 years of city history along the way with your VR glasses. The highlight of the tour is the beginnings of democracy in Frankfurt. In St. Paul's Church, you can virtually take part in the first – and very turbulent - National Assembly.
