Concert with Alba Armengou
An evening filled with warm sounds, subtle rhythms, and musical lightness: The Alba Armengou Trio brings the sound of Barcelona to Frankfurt and to the unique atmosphere of the Carmelite Monastery. With her expressive voice and trumpet playing, Alba Armengou moves seamlessly between jazz, bossa nova, bolero, and Latin American rhythms. Together with guitarist Vicente López and percussionist Tramel Levalle, they create a versatile trio sound that is at times relaxed and dreamy, at other times rhythmic and full of energy.
With their current project, “Blancos y Grafitos,” the trio takes the audience on a musical journey full of rhythm, lightness, and subtle nuances—sometimes delicate and playful, sometimes bursting with energy.
Catalan cançó meets Brazilian influences, Latin, and jazz. Alba sings in Catalan, Spanish, English, and Portuguese, giving each piece her very own touch.
At the Carmelite Monastery, this music finds a special setting: an extraordinary venue, three magnificent musicians, and a concert evening that invites you to listen, enjoy, and discover.
