From the blues and stoner rock of their debut, the influences on their 2024 album “Willow” have become more diverse. The band remains true to its core sound—yet new tonal colors have emerged: ’90s Seattle has left its mark and Swedish heavy rock shines through here and there. And one or two of the polyphonic vocal arrangements seem familiar from the great stadium rock anthems of the ’80s. The result doesn’t come across as a cheap copy, but rather as a clear homage to the band’s diverse influences.
