Design of Braubachstraße on the occasion of German Unity Day Frankfurt am Main, October 3, 2025 - For this year's German Unity Day, Ukrainian street artist Viacheslav "Slavik" Balabaiev, known for his striking graffiti artworks, will embellish the shop windows of Braubachstraße with powerful, democratic messages. As part of the artistic project, which has the motto "We protect our democracy - Together for freedom, diversity and
cohesion", Slavik will focus on historical quotes and social slogans that embody the spirit of German reunification and the global fight for freedom and democracy.

"Berlin will live and the wall will fall!" - Willy Brandt - this is the first slogan in a series that will be displayed in the shop windows of the street. Other quotes, such as US President Ronald Reagan's "Tear down this wall!" or "Democracy thrives on participation" by Albert Einstein, reflect not only the history of Germany, but also the international struggle for freedom, equality and democracy. Other statements such as "Woman, Life, Freedom" symbolize the global resistance against oppression and are a sign of solidarity with the Iranian protest movement.

The Heart of Frankfurt, in cooperation with the annual jazz festival, will revive Braubachstraße on the occasion of German reunification and set a sign of togetherness and togetherness - values that are of great importance in the course of German reunification.

Among others, the artist Slavik, who came to Frankfurt from Ukraine in 2022, will help shape this project in collaboration with Das Herz von Frankfurt.

Slavik began his career in Ukraine as an illegal sprayer before becoming known as an established artist. His works in Frankfurt, including the design of the south stand of the FSV stadium, have already made him an important part of the urban art scene. In this new project, too, Slavik shows himself to be a committed artist who actively promotes dialog between art and society. "As an artist from the hip-hop culture, I know how important it is to make your voice heard.

The project is being implemented in collaboration with various artists and businesses in the city and is another example of the creative exploration of social issues in urban spaces. It is not only an artistic design, but also a sign of togetherness and cooperation - values that are of great importance in the wake of German reunification.

The shop windows in Braubachstrasse will be on display to visitors from October 3, 2025 and invite them to reflect. The project is a clear appeal for the importance of democracy and freedom in an increasingly polarized world.
