To mark the anniversary, the façade of Frankfurt's Römer will become an impressive projection screen: "Together. We." - a ten-minute media production that combines historical images with memories of contemporary witnesses and makes history vividly visible.
The production pays tribute to the achievements of unification: people live in a united country, the Wall has disappeared from the landscape and from people's minds - a divided Germany is almost unimaginable for the younger generation. At the same time, the installation reminds us that growing together and democracy are ongoing processes that need to be reshaped and defended every day.
"Gemeinsam. Wir." is more than just a retrospective - it is an appeal to preserve democracy and freedom as valuable assets. The Römer production makes this tangible: as a celebration of success, as hope for the future and as a reminder of our responsibility. 35 years after reunification, it is clear that Germany has grown together, embedded in a free, united Europe. The anniversary invites us to celebrate peace, freedom and democracy - together. We.
The production was commissioned by Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main, in cooperation with the City Marketing Department, and realized by Atelier Markgraph.
