KULT-Net Stage - LEOLIXL

Jazz Music
The KULT-Net e.V. association presents on the KULT-Net stage: LEOLIXL

Leolixl is a singer-songwriter from Frankfurt am Main, where she approaches the metropolis with a touch of lightheartedness. Music and creativity have been a part of her life since childhood. But her career really took off in 2016 when she began sharing videos on social media. In particular, her spontaneous lyrics accompanied by the ukulele—combined with humor, authenticity, and a warm, endearing style—earned her millions of views and likes.

This attention did not go unnoticed by the music industry: In 2018, Leo released her first single, which garnered several hundred thousand streams, and was signed by Sony Music shortly thereafter. This was a major step that laid the foundation for her future career.

Later, she made a conscious decision to forge her own path. She formed a band with guitarist and drummer Simon and violinist and pianist Maria, and they performed concerts together. These performances helped her understand the dynamic between music, audience, and performance, and brought her songs to life. At the same time, she built her own network of musicians, wrote lyrics, produced demos,
and gained valuable experience to independently
.

Today, she builds directly on this work: her experiences and ideas have given rise to many new, meaningful songs. Her music spans German pop, indie, and singer-songwriter genres. It is harmonious, profound, and full of emotion. Leolixl tells personal stories, paints lyrical pictures, and creates a connection with her audience. She combines the professionalism gained from her label experience with the freedom of working independently—a blend that makes her music unmistakable.

Known for her powerful lyrics, her signature ukulele sound, and her ability to translate stories into music, humor, warmth, and authenticity define not only her songs but also her journey as an artist. With millions of streams, major stage performances, TV appearances, and a loyal fan base, Leolixl is now returning with new music! She’s ready to further expand her career and release songs that move people and defy the rules.

As if she couldn’t have hit the nail on the head any better, Leo has once again firmly taken her great passion—music—into her own hands this spring with the single “Es tut vielleicht gar nicht so weh” (“Maybe It Doesn’t Hurt That Much”), a bold statement against doubt and uncertainty. With her second single, “Krokusse,” she’s now showcasing her new direction and announcing the start of further releases.
