SIEMPRE LOCO Astor Piazzolla on his 105th birthday

Concert
World Music

Astor Piazzolla created an unprecedented "tango nuevo" with his music and sparked a revolution - first in Argentina and then all over the world. "I play more for people who love my music than for people who love the tango," Piazzolla once said, thus setting himself apart from classical Argentine tango. He would have been 105 years old on March 11, 2026.

We are celebrating this once again with Gregor Praml's SIEMPRE LOCO ensemble. With well-known colleagues: Actress Katharina Bach (Münchner Kammerspiele), accordionist Vassily Dück, violinist Laurent Weibel (hr-Sinfonieorchester) and pianist Rica Bard. Astor Piazzolla's work can be heard - from his Four Seasons and the cycles "Del Diablo" and "Del Angel" to his hits such as "Adios Nonino" and "Yo Soy Maria" - and actress Katharina Bach also sings, recites and performs her own texts.

You've never heard Tango Nuevo like this before: Loco, loco, loco, SIEMPRE LOCO!
