Outside, the first snowdrops are already stretching out towards the sun. Inside, tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and irises are crowded together. From Thursday, February 5 to Sunday, February 22, visitors to the Palmengarten can once again get a taste of spring when the colorful splendor of thousands of early bloomers unfolds in the spring flower show in the Galerie am Palmenhaus.
"In spring, nature comes back to life and gives us a new zest for life. Every time it is a small miracle when beautiful daffodils or crocuses suddenly sprout from rather inconspicuous bulbs and tubers," says Tina Zapf-Rodríguez, Head of Climate, Environment and Women's Issues. "Thanks to months of preparation in the Palmengarten's nursery, the people of Frankfurt can enjoy the magic of this time of year for a particularly long time and stroll through a wonderful sea of flowers a few weeks before the meteorological start of spring."
