Daheim im Lorsbacher Thal

Apple Wine Tavern
Regional Kitchen, German
This pub is said to have the largest apple wine list in the world. The Hesse à la carte restaurant also offers fine dining and a beautiful summer garden.

There are many cider taverns in Frankfurt, but not every one manages to win over food critics from the "FAZ" to the "Feinschmecker" – just like the "Daheim im Lorsbacher Thal". It's not just the large summer garden surrounded by vines that is impressive, but also what guests are served.
Head chef Bernd Schweizer avoids prefabricated industrial products and flavour enhancers and instead impresses with freshly prepared dishes made from good ingredients. Most of these are sourced from selected local farms, whether it's the coarse farmhouse sausage, the handmade cheese salad or the fresh salads and vegetables. And you can taste this with every bite at this à la carte restaurant in Hesse.
The in-house cider served with the food has always been the restaurant's most successful product. It has been fermenting in historic wooden barrels – and more recently in modern tanks – in the large cider cellar below the restaurant since 1803.
Is this really the "largest cider menu" in the world? Quite conceivable: There are more than 300 specialities on it.
