This restaurant in Schwanheim has been spoiling its guests with hearty delicacies for centuries. In summer, you can even enjoy brass band music in the garden.

Are you planning a bike ride through Frankfurt's city forest or a walk through the Schwanheim dunes and want to stop off on the way? Then head for the "Seppche"! You can tell at first glance that this rustic restaurant has a long history: In the entrance area, pictures show how cider was pressed here more than a hundred years ago, in the farmhouse parlor you sit between half-timbered beams, and the carved bar in the large hall refers to a long tradition of hospitality. In fact, the historic building already housed a restaurant around 1750, the nickname "Seppche" goes back to the former landlord Josef Safran, or Sepp for short.
Regular guests swear by the homemade meatloaf, which you can have with pepper sauce and fried potatoes or with onions and bread, but of course there are also the usual Frankfurt specialties and plenty of hearty fare. In summer, with a bit of luck, you can even enjoy hearty background music: a brass band regularly provides entertainment in the garden.
