The Cooperative

The cooperative demonstrates how regional agriculture and urban food supply can be integrated. The community-run operation grows vegetables, herbs, and other foods in Frankfurt and the surrounding area according to organic principles. The focus is on short supply chains and production that is as transparent as possible.
Through its work, the cooperative strengthens local economic cycles and raises awareness of where food comes from and under what conditions it is produced. The produce reaches customers through pickup locations and vegetable subscriptions, among other channels. In addition, the cooperative creates opportunities for people to learn about sustainable agriculture and seasonal eating.
