World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 invites you:

Insights into the planned cultural precinct and high-rise buildings

As part of Rooftop Days Frankfurt 2026, World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 invites you to experience the city of tomorrow from new perspectives. During the Open – Design Week (5–14 June 2026) of WDC 2026, the region opens its doors and showcases how and where design comes to life – including through events such as Rooftop Day Frankfurt. During Open Design Week – the centrepiece of World Design Capital 2026 – visitors can experience design and creativity in more than 150 studios, companies and research institutions – right on the ground, from the workbench to the creative agency.

A key future project for Frankfurt takes centre stage at Rooftop Day on the terrace of the Jewish Museum Frankfurt: the planned cultural mile along the historic ramparts. Representatives from the city council – Dr Markus Gwechenberger, Dr Ina Hartwig and Tina Zapf-Rodriguez – will provide insights into the current plans.

In addition, expert-led tours of selected high-rise buildings and rooftops offer fascinating insights into Frankfurt’s architecture and skyline.

            International Rooftop Networking

            As part of Rooftop Day, PWN Frankfurt / Rhein-Main (Professional Women’s Network) is hosting an international rooftop networking event for English-speaking professionals, international specialists and entrepreneurs in Frankfurt.

            PWN is an international non-profit organisation with over 30 years of experience and part of a global network comprising 28 city networks worldwide. The community brings together more than 90 nationalities and promotes international exchange, professional development and mutual support.

            With this international networking format, PWN adds an additional, community-oriented dimension to Rooftop Day. Frankfurt’s international community in particular is specifically targeted – an aspect that is becoming increasingly important for Frankfurt as an international city and a globally connected business hub.
