Q: When is Rooftop Day happening?

Rooftop Day will take place on 06.06.2026. The exact event times will be announced at a later date.

Q: How can I participate in Rooftop Day as a guest?

Participating in Rooftop Day is easy: on 06.06.2026 you can visit various rooftops in Frankfurt and experience the city from new perspectives. General registration is not required – however, some host locations require a reservation or admission fee! Please check the programme for details.

Q: Is there an overview of all participating rooftops?

Yes, you can find an overview of all participating rooftops on our website, including a map. There you can also view details about the programmes and offers at each location. All information is continuously updated on the website.

Q: Do I need to register as a visitor if I want to attend Rooftop Day?

Simply click through the events and choose your perfect combination. For individual events, registration may be required for space or planning reasons. You can find information about this at the individual locations and in the programme on our website.

Q: How do I get from one location to the next?

Many rooftops are within walking distance of each other. For locations further away, we recommend public transport or cycling. Frankfurt Sightseeing GmbH buses will be running as normal on the day and can be used on a selected route to travel between individual locations. You can find further information in the Frankfurt Sightseeing entry under the participating locations.

Q: Are there safety precautions on the roofs?

Yes, all participating rooftops must meet certain safety requirements. However, visitors are responsible for their own safety.Please follow the instructions on site.

Q: How much do the events at Rooftop Day cost?

The hosts at each location decide whether participation in individual programme items is subject to a fee. If there are any special regulations, you will find the information at the individual locations and in the programme on our website.

Insights into the planned cultural precinct and high-rise buildings

As part of Rooftop Days Frankfurt 2026, World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 invites you to experience the city of tomorrow from new perspectives. During the Open – Design Week (5–14 June 2026) of WDC 2026, the region opens its doors and showcases how and where design comes to life – including through events such as Rooftop Day Frankfurt. During Open Design Week – the centrepiece of World Design Capital 2026 – visitors can experience design and creativity in more than 150 studios, companies and research institutions – right on the ground, from the workbench to the creative agency.

A key future project for Frankfurt takes centre stage at Rooftop Day on the terrace of the Jewish Museum Frankfurt: the planned cultural mile along the historic ramparts. Representatives from the city council – Dr Markus Gwechenberger, Dr Ina Hartwig and Tina Zapf-Rodriguez – will provide insights into the current plans.

In addition, expert-led tours of selected high-rise buildings and rooftops offer fascinating insights into Frankfurt’s architecture and skyline.

International Rooftop Networking

As part of Rooftop Day, PWN Frankfurt / Rhein-Main (Professional Women’s Network) is hosting an international rooftop networking event for English-speaking professionals, international specialists and entrepreneurs in Frankfurt.

PWN is an international non-profit organisation with over 30 years of experience and part of a global network comprising 28 city networks worldwide. The community brings together more than 90 nationalities and promotes international exchange, professional development and mutual support.

With this international networking format, PWN adds an additional, community-oriented dimension to Rooftop Day. Frankfurt’s international community in particular is specifically targeted – an aspect that is becoming increasingly important for Frankfurt as an international city and a globally connected business hub.
