15 Years – 15 Christmas Concerts

To mark the RheinMain Ensemble’s 15th anniversary, we will be celebrating in 2026 with two concerts. Following the summer program “15 Years, 15 Pieces,” the second anniversary concert will focus on our long-standing tradition: Christmas music. We’ve compiled a selection of our favorite pieces that have accompanied us over the years.

The program ranges from French, Scandinavian, and English Christmas carols to masterpieces by Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Albert Becker, and Brahms, and on to more recent choral music by Lauridsen, Gjeilo, and Arvo Pärt. The highlight is the “Gloria” from Frank Martin’s Double Choir Mass. Daniel Neumann and Thomas Kessler contribute festive brass sounds as a trombone duo.

We invite you to revisit familiar pieces, discover new ones, and let this music accompany you through the Christmas season.
